This kaleidoscope of landscapes and peoples of Benin and Togo makes a loop around a fortnight in the history of the kingdom of Dahomey in Abomey, in the wildlife reserve of Pendjari. It dives you in the world of the Bétammaribè ethnic group traditional buildings, and through the sub-tropical forest of Ewe ethnic group of Kloto and then revive you the past of Ouidah and back to Ganvié, you discover life on piles.

Program of the stay:
Day 1: Welcome at the Cotonou airport, dinner and night in a hostel.
Day 2: Departure for Abomey after breakfast. A stopover at Bohicon and discovery of the underground caves of Agongointo. Lunch in an African restaurant at Abomey followed by lunch break in a hostel. In the afternoon, visit of the historical museum of Abomey followed by Danxomè trail. Dinner and night in hostel.
Day 3: Early in the morning, departure for Djougou, the Yom land after breakfast. Lunch on your way. Arrival at Djougou and a stopover at the local people. Then meeting with the king and exchange. Dinner and night in a hostel.
Day 4: Breakfast and departure for the nature reserve of Pendjari. Stopover at Natitingou and visit of the popular museum of Natitingou. Then you’ll be heading to the waterfall of Tanongou for another stopover. Picnic and swimming. Then you’ll carry on with the trip till the reserve. You’ll go straight for Bali pool in the expectation to see animals drinking and after you’ll steer for the hotel of Pendjari. Dinner and night at hotel.
Day 5: Early in the morning breakfast and then departure for other pools in the reserve: Diwouni, Fogou, sacred pond etc. Picnic at Bali pool. Departure for Koutagou. Discover of different types of traditional buildings called tata somba on the way. Arrival at Koutagou, dinner and night at the villagers’ camp.
Day 6: Breakfast. Hiking in the undulating plains of Koutagou. Exchange with Somba people and back to the camp. Break for lunch at camp. Evening time free. Dinner and night at the camp.
Day 7: Early in the morning breakfast and departure for the border by Boukoumbé. You’ll have lunch at Kara in Togo and journey to Sokode. Evening time is free. Dinner and night in a hostel.
Day 8: Breakfast and departure for Atakpamè. Lunch at Atakpamè and lunch break in a hostel. In the afternoon, discover Atakpamé market. Dinner and night in the hostel.
Day 9: Departure for Kloto after breakfast. Lunch at Kpalime and then visit of the handicraft center of Kpalime. Continuation to Kloto. Arrival and discover Kloto village its painted shutters.
Day 10: Breakfast early in the morning and departure to visit Vial Castle followed by a walk in nature to discover the plants and pigments and their virtues. Picnic and lunch break. Back to the camp and the afternoon time is free. Dinner and night at camp.
Day 11: Breakfast. Departure for Lome, the capital of Togo with the Nanas Benz. Lunch in an African restaurant and stopover in a hostel. In the evening visit of Lome market and stroll on the beach then back to the hostel. Dinner and night.
Day 12: Departure for Possotomé (Benin) after breakfast. Stopover at Grand-Popo. Lunch, swimming and continuation to Possotomè. Arrival and discovery of the diet Center of Possotomé. Then dinner and night at the hotel.
Day 13: Breakfast early in the morning and departure for Ouidah. Arrival and visit of the Portuguese fortress. Then explore the Slave Road and the Door of No Return. Lunch and departure for Ganvié along the fishermen road. Arrival at the pier of Calavi and resettlement in Ganvié. Discovery of the Lake Village and walk on water by boat. Dinner and night in a hostel at Ganvié.
Day 14: Early in the morning breakfast and discover the floating market of Ganvié and then resettlement in Cotonou. Then lunch followed by a city trail in Cotonou. Dinner and resettlement in the airport.
Day 15: Boarding and end of the stay.
